Learn this Weekend at St. Paul’s

Hello –

This weekend there are two opportunities to learn at St. Paul’s.

• Call/ Christian in Marin

For the last month I’ve been sharing a simple prayer, made up of two prayers from our Sunday worship: “O God, send me to do the work you have given me to do, with gladness and singleness of heart.” On Saturday mornings at 8:30am, starting this Saturday, the 19th, we will be exploring what it is that God wants us to do. Ultimately, this means knowing the gifts God has given us and how to use them for the common good. This is what we mean by call. But that sense of call starts with being more confident that, in our day to day lives in Marin County, we are actually living like Christians. But what does that mean? Come and explore with us as we tap into the wisdom, not just of our Discipleship Groups, but also of Cursillo, of 12 Step programs, and of the the other communities that have shaped our life in God. It is from 8:30am to 9:30am in the conversation end of Duncan Hall. Hospitality starts at 8:00am.

• Why do we do what we do when we worship?
This Sunday’s class of St. Paul’s 101 will be walking through our Sunday worship step by step and explaining what we do, why we do it and where it comes from. It will be accompanied by a 3 page outline I created years ago that people have always loved and appreciated. You are welcome to join the class, even if this is the only time you come. We meet in the Downing Library at 11:30am this Sunday, but if there are to many of us, we’ll move to a larger space.

We love to learn and explore here at St. Paul’s. You are welcome to come on this path of exploration with us, starting this weekend.

Blessings,

Christopher
