Hello –
Three things to bear in mind.
1. Jane S’s funeral is this Saturday at 11am and Larry wants you to know that you are invited. Jane was a matriarch of St. Paul’s and loved by us all. I will proudly be wearing the vestments she made for the service. A reception, put on by St. Paul’s parishioners, will follow in Duncan Hall.
2. Next Thursday, October 5th the Thursday evening Bible Study on Zoom resumes. We will be starting to read the book of Hebrews, a powerful and under appreciated book of sermons from the New Testament. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com for the Zoom link.
3. After a quiet few months, our runway for growth returns. On the afternoon October 28th, Kati, Kate and Diana will be at a St. Paul’s table on 4th street for the Halloween Event. On Monday, December 18th we’ll have our third annual Singalong for Saints and Sinners, and on January 6th I begin teaching my seminar, Transcending Contempt, a perfect way to start what is sure to be a rude and brutal election year.. Please bear these in mind and invite your friends and neighbors!
