A Spiritually Rich Two Weeks

Hello –

The next two weeks at St. Paul’s are spiritually rich. Here’s the rundown of what’s going on:

1. Annual Assessment of Christian Practices. Please take 2-3 minutes to fill out the Annual Assessment of Spiritual Practices. It’s just 12 multiple choice questions. It’s open form now until June 9th, Pentecost. Here’s the link.

2. Confirmation. This Saturday morning, John, Dylan, Kati, Zoe and Sara all go to Grace Cathedral with me to be Confirmed alongside over 120 other Episcopalians. Please pray for them!

3. Baptism. At the 10am service on Sunday we have honor of baptizing Adam M., the newest addition to the Misakian family, who are loyal friends of our our church and part of our extended church family.

4. Pentecost. The next Sunday, June 9th, is the feast of Pentecost, where we celebrate the birth of the church. We will have our ordinary 8am service but the later service will be at 10:30am at Nativity and be shared with Nativity, Redeemer and St. Francis. Our former Associate Rector, Lynn Oldham-Robinett, will be the preacher.

5. Celebration of Silence. On the Sunday after that, June 16th, the 8am service will once again be a Celebration of Silence, a eucharist led by Brigitte and Pat. We are now in the custom of doing that service on the first Sunday of every season of the Christian year. That Sunday will be the last Sunday before my summer break.

Finally, Genevieve, who has been the head of Marin Day School, the preschool that rents space from us, is retiring at the end of June. Please join me in thanking Genevieve. She has been a great head of school and a loving and attentive partner in caring for our campus and all the souls who find their way there.

Blessings,
