Thank You and Crab Feed

Wow! What a remarkable weekend. You outdid yourselves showing hospitality. The conversation with many of the participants on our first PrayWorshipServe weekend confirmed again and again that people noticed and appreciated the rich and deep range of you who showed up to welcome, guide and feed our guests. Thank you a million times!

Among the people offering hospitality was a crew of folks from our good friends at Nativity. They prepared a fine array of food and coffee on Saturday morning. I, for one, intend to express my gratitude by joining others from St. Paul’s at the Annual Nativity Crab Feed this Saturday. It’s at the Marinwood Community center at 5pm. It’s all you can eat crab plus pasta, drinks a raffle and great company, all for $50. I know that there’s already going to be at least one table full of folks from St. Paul’s.

We went through a big shift this weekend. I saw so many of you claiming great and benevolent authority in a new way. And what made my heart so glad was to see how joyfully you embraced your new spiritual power. We have, by God’s grace, new opportunities opening before us. We entering a new chapter in how we follow Jesus together in prayer, worship and service.

As Jacob so beautifully put it in one of the emails leading up to the Retreat. The door is open!
