Hello –
Not only will there be King Cake, great music and people wearing beads, parishioner Candy, who is from Louisiana, has cooked an incredible big pot of New Orleans style rice and beans that is to-die-for good. (How do I know? Well I couldn’t resist trying at least a little…)
So please come!
Also:
• Ash Wednesday services are 7:30am, noon and 6:30pm on March 6th.
• Flour will be bagged and prayed over to be sent to churches for communion bread starting at 10am on March 7th. Come on down and help.
• Basic Discipleship+ begins on Saturday the 9th at 8:30am and Sunday the 10th at 11:30am. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com to join one of these groups.
• A Celebration of Silence will be our 8am Eucharist service on Sunday the 10th, led by Brigitte and Tanner. When they began Advent with this same service 40 people came. Come experience silence in our sacred space as your invitation into Lent.
Finally, if you haven’t yet seen the two page summary from the RenewalWorks Group, please take the time to read it, paying particular attention to the 3 Landmarks. These 3 Landmarks are
1. Becoming spiritual leaders of our own faith,
2. Developing shared, visible, known and connected leadership at St. Paul’s.
3. Linking service to Jesus.
You’ll be hearing a lot more from that Group in the weeks to come.
