Holy Week Schedule (Page 63)

Hello –

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, and the most important week of the year begins. Here’s the quick run down.

• Palm Sunday. March 20. Services at 8am and 10am. It includes blessing of the palms, the reading of the passion narrative and leaving the church is silence. We remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

• Maundy Thursday. March 24. Service at 7:30pm. The service includes foot washing and the stripping of the altar. We remember Jesus’ institution of the eucharist at the last supper. It’s preceded at 6:30 by a dinner hosted by Grace Marin.

• Good Friday. March 25. Service at Noon. The service is about an hour and features the bringing in of the cross. We remember that Jesus died on the cross.

• Easter Vigil. March 26. Service at 7:30pm. The most important service of the year includes a retelling of our sacred history and a baptism before our first, triumphal proclamation of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.

Easter morning services are at 8am and 10am. There will be an Easter Egg hunt and plenteous hospitality after the 10am service.

In the coming week, may the eyes of our hearts be surely fixed on those mighty acts by which we were saved.

Blessings,

Christopher

Our Rose Window

Leading up to St. Paul’s 150th anniversary, let’s take a look at some of the former church members.
