Learn to Love 7pm Wednesday

Hello –

Tomorrow night, on Zoom and in person in Duncan Hall, the Learn to Love classes begin. I’ve completed to packet with the readings and have just sent the PDF of the readings, a one page outline and the Zoom link to six people.

If you’d also like to join on Zoom, please email me. If you plan to show up in person, I’ll have hard copies of the packet and the outline there for you. The 32 page packet contains all you’ll need to learn to love God through beautiful language with the help of Christian poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. My email is cmartin@stpaulssanrafael.org.

Here is brief video on YouTube with a description of the course.

We’ll take a break in April, and then pick up again in May with learning to love our neighbors through reading three chapters from a major novel by Dostoevsky. I’ll be giving guidance and teaching so you won’t need to read the whole novel, just these chapters that bring up fascinating questions about what we owe each other as human beings, and what true Christian love might look like. Do we truly bear each other’s burdens?

I hope to see you tomorrow night either in person or on Zoom. Jacob and I have carefully set up Duncan Hall so that those on Zoom can feel part of the circle. Classes will be posted on our YouTube channel so you can review teaching, or see what happened if you have to miss one of the five sessions.

Again, email me at cmartin@stpaulssanrafael.org to get the Zoom link and the PDFs of the packet and the outline.

Blessings,

Christopher
