Back From Vacation

Back From Vacation

Hello –

Today is my first day back at church after vacation. I already had lunch with the Belles of the St. Anne’s Guild and have been in touch with a wide range of our excellent leaders. It’s been good to hear of how much has been done while I’ve been gone in terms of our new Welcome program, St. Paul’s Forward and the St. Paul’s Legacy Program. The Vestry had it’s hands full too as it dealt with our ongoing sewer challenges. I hope that season is finally behind us!

We had a lovely time in France. As you may know, we go every other year and It’s always such a delight to reconnect with family and friends. I was able to to take a generous amount of time, nearly every day to read and write, and come back with many thoughts and discoveries. I’m looking forward to sharing all these things with you in the months to come through classes, conversations and sermons.

The next big event in the life of St. Paul’s is the beach day at Hart’s Desire beach on Tomales Bay. We invite you to come in the morning, where we’ll have space marked out for our St. Paul’s family. The enjoy the small beach with space to play, gentle waters in which to swim and fun hiking trails to explore. Stay for a fun shared lunch. Mark the date now for next Saturday, the 10th. More details coming soon.

Finally, please be very careful when you get emails and texts that supposedly come from me. All of the Episcopal Churches in Marin, including St. Paul’s, are victims of scam artists who go through our website, gather all the emails and phone numbers they can, and then pretend to be me, with a fake phone number and email, and eventually ask gift cards for some supposedly benevolent purpose. Please call me first before you do anything!

I look forward to sharing the bread and wine with you on Sunday.

Blessings,

Christopher
