Hello –
I return from vacation early this coming week. Here is some of what’s upcoming at St. Paul’s in July and August.
• Wednesday Bible Study returns this Wednesday, the 15th, at 10am. We’ll likely be starting a read through of the book of Hebrews. All are welcome!
• The Street Chaplaincy Dinner will be the following Tuesday, the 21st of July. Volunteers are needed from 4pm to 7pm but you can work either the early shift to cook and set up or the later shift to serve and clean up. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com to find out more.
• A Saturday at Heart’s Desire Beach in west Marin will be on a Saturday in late July or early August. More details coming soon.
• Who Are We? will be our them for the Sundays in August. With a mix of instruction, sermons, Minutes for Mission and other means, we’ll be affirming and exploring the identity of our extend St. Paul’s community.
• The Brick. One core piece of our identity is two objects, our altar and the Brick. The Brick is Episcopal jargon for a leather bound book that combines the 1979 Book of Common Prayer with the NRSV translation of the Bible, with ribbons. It’s the perfect way to do daily prayer. I’ll soon be doing a bulk order for gifts to those who recently Confirmed at Grace Cathedral. If you would like your own Brick, let me know and I will add another more Bricks to our bulk order. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com.
• Thursday Night Zoom Bible Study returns on Thursday, August 6th at 6pm. We’ll be doin a brisk read through of the book of Exodus into the fall. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com for the Zoom link.
Blessings,
Christopher
