Hello –
Things are always moving and changing and developing at St. Paul’s. It’s a sign of life. Here are a few things worth tracking:
• This Sunday the 10am service will feature a host of our children and youth in various leadership roles at the 10am service. Second Sundays for the school year will have a greater family focus.
• No more rummage please! St. Anne’s already has the best collection of rummage they have ever received. Mark your calendars now for the sale November 18th and 19th for the sale and the days before to help out at this great St. Paul’s tradition. You can continue giving books.
• The Thursday night study of John is canceled. The Tuesday Romans at 12:30 and Wednesday Ezekiel at 10am continue.
• Teen Success Breakfast is off to a great start for the school year at its new time of 10:30am. Contact me if you want to check out this great St. Paul’s Outreach.
• Check out the Upper Room, now often called the Playroom. It looks that best I’ve ever seen it with a bunch of new bookshelves making it cozy and inviting.
• Check out Room 7, one of the rooms in the upstairs of the education wing. Our friends at Grace Marin have moved in there with a great conference table. It’s now used throughout the week, increasing the friendly feel of our campus.
• Keep your eye out for a new Epistle! In the next few weeks, if we have your snail mail address, we’ll be seinding you this 8 page newsletter filled with wonderful stories of the wide range of great things that happen on our campus.
• Did you you know that the St. Paul’s Directory & Pledging System is now online in a new members’ only, cloud-based system? Sign up now to update and maintain your own contact information, pledge online, review your contributions history, and print your own year-end statements. Here’s the link.
• SPRIF III, our St. Paul’s Restoration and Improvement Fund, begins in just over a week at the Sunday services on September 21st. Maggie Baxter and Jay Luther are already making announcements and receiving ideas and questions for this great effort to make our campus more safe, accessible and beautiful.
• Finally, Chloe, Harper, Simon and I had about fifty people over to our house last Sunday afternoon for a party for families. Our next generation is a wonderful and engaged crew. ‘Take a knee’ and get to know some of our great kiddos! See photos here.
I’m grateful to be in community with each of you.
Blessings,
Christopher
