Hello –
Tomorrow is our third annual Celebration of Flowers. Please bring flowers to church tomorrow (4/28).
At the beginning of the service, accompanied by a song, you can bring your flowers to a beautiful wooden stature of Mary, the mother of Jesus, that will be in front of the Rood Screen.
After church, in Duncan Hall, you are welcome to come help make over 40 small bouquets.
Once the bouquets are complete, you are then invited to join us as we drive to the nearby San Rafael Health Care Center and personally deliver the flowers to each of the residents. (We’ve been in relationship with the Center ever since the late 1970s, when the Rev. Hugh Hardin’s parents were residents there.) We even plan to sing a few simple songs as we deliver the flowers.
So tomorrow, join us for our May Day celebration of flowers by bringing some flowers to church, honoring Mary with them, and then bringing their beauty to the residents of a nearby Care Center.
Blessings,
Christopher
