Mary Anne was a beloved part of our extended community. For many years she was here most Sundays. She was, as Jack describes her, “cheerful as a cricket.” Often, at coffee hour, she would sit down at the piano in Duncan Hall and begin improvising a lovely tune. She died recently after a long struggle with cancer. Her memorial service will be at the First Presbyterian Church in San Rafael, the one that’s across from the library, this Friday, March 23rd, at 3pm.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday, the beginning of the most important week in the Christian calendar. Both the 8am and the 10am will feature a reading of the Passion Narrative (the story of the betrayal and death of Jesus). The 10am will also feature stunning music that sets the stage perfectly for Holy Week.
