Hello –
This is the most important week of the church calendar. We have two services coming up.
Good Friday service will be at noon this Friday. It includes the bringing in of the cross. I will be preaching on the question “Why did Jesus have to die?”
Easter service will be at 10am on Sunday. This year, for the first time, the service will be the Easter Vigil, which is a stunningly powerful liturgy. I will be preaching on the question “What did Jesus’ death accomplish?”
In addition:
• Stations of the Cross will be offered in the courtyard on Friday at 5pm.
• Easter service will be followed by a celebratory brunch and an Easter Egg Hunt.
• Sunday, April 30th, will be our 2nd annual Celebration of Flowers where we celebrate Mary and then make 185 little bouquets and deliver them to all the residents of three care facilities.
• Keep your eye out for the three ‘C’s. These are my class on the Root Cause of Contempt which starts May 24th, Confirmation at Grace Cathedral which is June 10th, and Women’s Cursillo which starts July 13th while the Men’s starts July 20th. More info coming soon!
