Hello –
Four quick things about life at St. Paul’s right now:
1. Bricks. The new leather-bound Book Common Prayer/Bible combos are in. 27 of you ordered on ahead of time. I got 50 of them at a discount so they cost $90 instead of $125. They will be available for purchase at coffee hour this Sunday. Because I ordered extra you can get one even if you didn’t order one. This Sunday at 11:30am in the conversation area of Duncan Hall, I’ll be doing a quick tutorial to show you how to place the 4 ribbons to begin using the book on Monday.
2. Necrology. Next Sunday, November 1st, is All Saints’ Sunday. We always read the names of all our loved ones who have died since last November 1st. If you have names that you would like to hear read aloud, please email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com.
3. Evensong. At 4pm next Sunday, November 1st, in honor of All Saints’, our chancel choir will be leading a service of Evensong at 4pm in the church, with a reception to follow. Evensong is one of the treasures of our Anglican tradition.
4. Generosity. So far, we have had a very successful campaign to fund our budget for next year. If you have not yet done so, please mail in your giving card. If you have not yet received a card, please contact me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com and we’ll send you one.
Thank you all for being members of our extended St. Paul’s family.
Blessings,
Christopher
