Practicing Hide and See

Hello –

At Saturday’s Transcending Contempt Practice Group a friend of Chris H’s showed up for the first time to any of my teachings. He got in the swing of things right away as I shared practical advice about how to love our neighbors as ourselves.

The teaching I offer focuses on two verses of scripture and then offers three practical ways to love others inspired by each of those two verses. In one of these verses we learn that love “hides” sin and in the other verse we learn that we need to love our brother or sister whom we “see.”

Inspired by Chris’ friend’s active and immediate participation I want to extend an invitation to you to do three things.

1. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com for a two page summary of the teaching with all the relevant quotes.

2. Watch the YouTube video of the half hour teaching on Practicing Hide and See. Here it is.

3. Come to the church at 11:30am this Sunday, so right after the church service. I’ll review the teaching and then invite you all to break into groups of three to discuss how you might apply these ways of love in your own lives. We’ll conclude by sharing thoughts and asking questions.

Join me on Sunday at 11:30am in the church as we learn together how to love as Jesus would have us love.
