Ash Wednesday Services at Noon & 6:30pm

Hello –

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of reflection. Come at noon or 6:30pm for a brief eucharist service with the imposition of ashes and the powerful words “remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Here, passed along to me from my friend Tom, are some words fro reflection as we turn toward Lent:

Ready

With Joy In My Heart, I Am Ready To Grow.

On the eve of the Lenten season, I take time for reflection. Guided by God’s Spirit, I recall all that has brought me to this day. I savor the good and give thanks for those rich blessings. I release unpleasant memories, also giving thanks for lessons learned and opportunities for growth.

I ready my mind and heart for new opportunities to live, give, and grow as I prepare for Lent to begin. I affirm gentleness, ready to do all I am guided to do. In this consciousness, I am open and receptive. My spirit soars to new heights. My heart is light, and my soul is free.

I am ready to grow, ready to receive good. I celebrate all that I have and all that I am. I step forward in faith, open to abundant blessings.

“But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.”—Ephesians 4:15

Blessings,
