Annual Self-Assessment

Hello –

In case you’re not on the email list for The Restoration Project, here’s the text of my recent email blast. You’re invited and encourage to take the Self-Assessment too. Email me if you would also like to be on The Restoration Project list.

Dear Friend,

This email is an invitation for you to get a picture of where you are spiritually and so help us help you.

Every year, starting this year, we intend to offer an Annual Self-Assessment. All you need to do is follow this link to a very brief survey that gives a picture of where you are in relationship to Seven Core Christian Practices. It takes less than three minutes to fill out. There are 7 questions on a 1-5 scale and then 4 “yes or no” questions.

We invite you to think of this like an annual physical or like taking your car for a check-up. We developed this simple self-assessment for the Retreat and found that it gives very useful information. Through this survey, as a movement, we can learn where people are gaining strength in their Christian maturity and where things are still challenging and so create useful content. It helps us, as a movement, know where we need to grow stronger.

We are not going to be tracking you individually. Your responses are between you and God. The survey requires your email, but that’s only so that you can have the results sent immediately to you. We plan to offer this Self-Assessment every year between the feast of the Ascension and Trinity Sunday, which means it will only be available for 17 days each year.

If you want to see how you’re doing from year to year, simply keep the email that is sent back to you. Again, we will not be keeping individual records. Our interest is in the overall picture and what it tells us about what we need to focus on in order to help you and your fellow practitioners throughout the country.

So, please take 2-3 minutes to fill out this short and simple survey right now. It will be a gift to your own spiritual life and a gift to all of us who are following Jesus together in our Seven Core Christian Practices.

Faithfully,

Christopher Martin
