Hello –
After a very busy and productive start to the new year, we now hit something like our ordinary rhythm for the next few weeks. Our biggest event this week is hosting our Bishop, Bishop Marc, this Sunday afternoon for a a regional ‘thank you’ event to thank all who have remembered their parish in their will. If you have remembered St. Paul’s in your will or simply would like to find out more about good legacy planning, come to Duncan Hall at 2:30.
There are three things, though, I hope you will bear in mind:
1. Chloe and I are hosting an Open House at our home in San Anselmo on Sunday, February 28th. This is a new, twice a year event we began in the fall and it was a ton of fun. Come and hang out in our home and get to know the good people of St. Paul’s of all ages better! 4pm to 6pm, February 28th.
2. The next Saturday is Discipleship Group workshop. I’ve loved the two of these that we’ve had so far, both to hear stories of what’s going on in our six groups but also to introduce people to this core ministry of St. Paul’s. This year, I will be sharing new teaching on the four lenses that Discipleship Groups can use to help each other discern God’s call on their lives. 9am to Noon, March 5th.
3. Youth Confirmation Class begins the next day, Sunday, March 6th. On most Sundays from March 6th until he Confirmation at Grace Cathedral on Saturday, June 4th, I will be teaching Confirmation Class for people between 12 and 18. I already have three folks signed up. Please contact me to find out more.
I hope your Lent is feeling holy. The very brief daily emails from the PrayWorshipServe.com website are particularly powerful this year. I highly recommend signing up for them if you haven’t already done so.
Finally, please contact me if you would like to be in our new photo directory but weren’t able to sign up for the professional photographers last week. We want your beautiful face in the book along with the rest of the St. Paul’s community!
Blessings,
Christopher
