Hello –
Four things:
1. Stations of the Cross will be led by Mike G. and me at 5pm today in our courtyard. We’ll set up our 14 images of the 14 stages of Jesus’ journey and walk through them with prayers, reading and silence. It takes about half an hour.
2. Tanner will be offering a St. Patrick’s Day feast of beef and cabbage specially stewed after church this Sunday. Plan to stay after church for lunch and great fellowship.
3. Cara will be sharing stories from Luke’s gospel on Tuesday night at 7pm in person in Duncan Hall and on Zoom. It’s a half hour talk followed by discussion.
4. Holy Week is simple this year.
• Palm Sunday is our usual 10am service on April 2nd beginning with the blessing of the palms and concluding with the stripping of the altar.
• Good Friday will be at noon on April 7th and include the brining in of the cross and hammering in the nails.
• Easter morning will be, for the first time, the Easter Vigil at 10am on April 9th. The Vigil is the most powerful service of the year. It will be an hour and a half and include lighting the pascal fire, the vigil with sung psalms, the renewal of baptismal vows and will culminate in the joyous and light filled proclamation of Jesus’ resurrection.Blessings, Christopherp: (415) 456-4842
