Hello –
This Sunday the season of Advent begins with the first of four Sundays that prepare our hearts to receive the baby Jesus. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
• On Thursday, December 2nd we begin a study of the great biblical book of Romans in our evening Bible Study on Zoom. We meet from 6pm to 7pm. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com for the link.
• On Sunday, December 5th Bishop Marc will lead worship at St. Paul’s. Please be ready to thank him for the $40,000 of assessment relief and to share with him the ways you see we are working on recovering the income we lost when Bright Horizons left us and how we are constructing a runway for growth.
• By Sunday, December 12th, please be sure to bring in your Angel Tree gifts if you grabbed one or more of the cards. Over 100 cards were taken in just two Sundays!
• On Friday, December 17th, come the De Colores end of year party to help distribute the gifts. This is a great way to meet the families who now share our campus.
• On Monday, December 20th, come to the Christmas Singalong for Saints & Sinners at 7pm in the church and bring friends. Even better, grab some of the spiffy postcards that Judy designed and hand them out to people you meet. Let’s pack the church!
Finally, the Sunday Contemplative Hour is on hiatus until January while Cathy visits her daughter in Australia. It will start up again in January.
