The Next Five Days

Hello –

I believe the next five days will be the most meaningful set of days in 2026 at St. Paul’s. After Sunday we settle back down to our usual, sustainable rhythm.

This email walks you through the next five days. Next week, after these days are passed, I’ll properly introduce Lent at St. Paul’s.

• Ash Wednesday services are tomorrow at noon and 6pm. The noon service will be live streamed.

• Friday and Saturday are the two Joy of Serving Open Houses. Anecdotally, responses to our Joy of Serving campaign have been very positive. Five folks, based just on the mailing, have expressed interest in joining our Outreach Ministries and two have further said they’d be bringing friends to the Open Houses. There are many other little stories I could tell. Know that when you share these brochures, people are interested!

The more of us who are present at these two ninety minute events, the more likely we are to expand our outreach and have St. Paul’s grow. You can come for just part of the time. Please invite your friends and plan to come to Duncan Hall on either Friday at 5:30pm or Saturday at 10:00am.

• Sunday is Erin’s last Sunday before she begins her indefinite Medical Leave of Absence.

In the service, she will be preaching and we will be laying hands on her for healing and blessing.

At coffee hour, we will be giving thanks for her time as our curate at coffee hour and expressing our hope that she can return to us as our Assistant Rector, healed of her chronic illness. Contact me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com for guidance in how you might express your appreciation for Erin.

Above all, pray for St. Paul’s through the rest of the week! Together we can do this with grace and power.
Blessings, Christopherp: (415) 456-4842
