Hello –
Thank you, St. Paul’s, for your generous and good humored support of the Harvest Bazaar this past week. Bravo! Your love and encouragement of the active members of the St. Anne’s Guild shined through.
The active Guilders poured in a huge amount of effort throughout the last year to prepare for the sale. Our extended network of parishioners, friends and family came in to help by setting up, serving shifts and breaking down. We all together showed that we care through our hands, our backs and our smiles.
This year’s Bazaar may mark the end of a sixty year tradition at St. Paul’s. I have faith that the good ministry of service of the St. Anne’s Guild will continue and take creative and helpful forms. I also have faith, thanks to the experiences of this last week, that we will all continue to celebrate and support the work of the active Guilders, whatever form that work takes.
Building a healthy multi-generational community is a dying art in our day and age. Yet God’s desire, expressed in Jesus’ life and teaching, is that we all may be one in Him. Let us never underestimate the power and goodness of what we are doing by extending ourselves to help one another.
Blessings,
Christopher
