Dear Families,
It was especially meaningful two weeks ago as Christopher and I announced our Advent (and pre-Advent plan) to bring us back to the basics. Beginning last Sunday the children began learning the basic Christmas songs with Joy to the World. After church we gathered with the congregation in Duncan Hall and sang our hearts out.
This Sunday, Music Sunday School with Libby will feature Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel and O Little Town of Bethlehem. I will have printed up ‘just lyrics’ for ease.
The next 4 weeks we’ll cover the following hits: Silent Night, Go Tell it on the Mountain, The First Noel, and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
For the older kids… we could use your help! The kids get timid and need help with the lyrics. Please consider joining us and being a church mentor.
And everyone, please invite your neighbors, your grandkids, your friends; what a great way to welcome Christmas, with these traditional songs.
