Hello –
I write with some news that I know will come as a shock to most of you. Our beloved parishioner Diana Gore died yesterday of complications from breast cancer. She lived with cancer for many years, something she and her husband, Pierce, were private about.
Ordinarily, I wait to send an email with news like this until I’ve had the opportunity to tell as many people in person as possible. In this case, Pierce has asked that the Memorial Service be this weekend at St. Paul’s and he wants people from our community to know about it and come if they would like to. The memorial service will be at St. Paul’s this Sunday at noon.
Diana and Pierce joined St. Paul’s a year ago this past August. They both quickly became deeply engaged in the life of St. Paul’s, always with smiles on their faces. Diana was an acolyte, always put on a fabulous coffee hour and loved the Thursday evening Bible Study. Although we didn’t know her for long, Diana was already deeply loved and she will be missed.
I hope you can join us as we celebrate her life and support Pierce and one another.
