Here are 7 quick ones:
1. Vanity. Thursday night Bible Study starts again this week at 6:15pm in the Downing Library. We’re reading Ecclesiastes.
2. Two Sits. Nearly every week I do a 20 minute meditation in the church on Tuesday at 5:00pm and on Thursday at 5:45pm. You’re welcome to join for all or part of it.
3. Stewardship season is now. Please fill out your pledge card and return to the church.
4. Distances. County is 4.1 miles from St. Paul’s, San Quentin 3.6, San Rafael Health Care .5 and First Pres is .4. St. Monnica’s doesn’t exist yet but I believe it will be very close too.
5. Movie. On Wednesday, November 14th we host a new film called This Day Forward at 7pm about faith in the face of death.
6. Men’s Cursillo. From Thursday, November 15th to the 18th is a short course on the Christian faith at SFTS in San Anselmo. Email me if you’re interested. (c.h.mrtn@gmail.com.)
7. A Near Monk. On Saturday, November 17th, from 9am to Noon, Terry Ryan, a friend of Richard Olive’s who lives most of the year in the Cistercian monastery in Snowmass, Colorado, where Thomas Keating lived, will be leading a workshop on contemplative prayer at St. Paul’s.
