Preparing for Lent

Hello –

With Lent approaching, there are a variety of ways to deepen your spiritual life and your sense of belonging at St. Paul’s.

• The 10am Wednesday Bible Study begins to read the book of Daniel next week. Join us as we both read this colorful and exciting book and look at the whole trajectory of apocalyptic literature in the Bible.

• Young Adult Retreat, Feb. 28-March 2nd, St. Columba’s Inverness, A retreat for young adults who want to take the next step in their relationship with Jesus by creating a Rule of Life to order their life in a healthy way. Free, optional donation to cover $200 cost. Contact Erin, 415-408-8353.

• Ash Wednesday is March 5th. Services are at noon and 6pm.

• The 6pm Thursday Bible Study on Zoom begins to read the book of Philippians for Lent. The book is packed with essential teaching about Jesus, particularly that he emptied himself (2:7) for us. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com to join us.

• Parents’ Night Friday, March 7th 5:45pm. Come to our parents’ night for fellowship, food, and conversation about raising our children and teens to know, love, and serve God. Dinner and childcare provided. RSVP to Erin at 415-408-8353 by Feb. 24th.

• Sunday Morning Sit at 9:10am in the Rector’s Office. Join me in the Sundays of Lent, starting on March 9th, in my office for 20 minutes of silent meditation, a wonderful way to prepare our hearts for worship.

Blessings,

Christopher
