Hello –
This past Sunday I concluded a four-part teaching on our worship. Through the four Sundays of teaching, I asked us to picture that we were all putting on a show together for an audience of One, that is, of God. Worship is at the heart of what we do. Liturgy means “work of the people” and it includes all of us together.
This Saturday, I invite you to come to St. Paul’s at 10:30am for a liturgy tune-up and “come and see.” If you already serve as an Usher, Reader, Acolyte or on the Altar Guild come and get a tune-up on what we do and why. If you don’t serve in any of these capacities, come and see if one of these roles might be a good fit for you.
(The other role is as a member of one of our two choirs- the Folk Choir and the Chancel Choir.)
Serving to make our worship happen “in the beauty of holiness” is a holy joy and a great way to get to know others. Whether you’ve been coming to St. Paul’s for a month of more than a decade, come on Saturday at 10:30am for the tune up and training. Remember, our mission is following Jesus together in worship, prayer and service.
Blessings,
Christopher
