Hello –
There are lots of opportunities to learn and to serve at St. Paul’s. Here are five:
• Saturday at 8:45 am come to Duncan Hall for my new Practice Group, the Way of the Cross is the Way of Love. You’ll learn the meaning of a sentence I believe is the meaning of life: “In this work of reduplication we prove the reality of atoning work with a saving fortitude and a joyful ultimate confidence.”
• Sunday at 10am Sunday School begins at our childcare during the worship service. Youth activities will resume before the end of the month.
• Sunday at 11:30am in the Upper Room Erin begins teaching Basic Anglicanism, the first part of a three part class we’re team teaching that anyone can take but will also serve as preparation for Confirmation on May 2nd. The other two parts are Basic Bible and Basic Christian Practice.
• Wednesday at 10am we will read Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians aloud and reflect on it together. We’re getting a little wave of new people so the new year is the perfect time to jump in.
• Tuesday, January 20th I will be leading our first St. Paul’s Street Chaplaincy dinner from 4pm to 6:30pm at First Presbyterian Church in downtown San Rafael. I’ve already heard from five volunteers and could definitely use some more folks! We will begin doing this quarterly led by Candy and Pat T. They begin their leadership at the next dinner, which is in April.
We do our best to not just talk the talk but to the walk the (Christian) walk at St. Paul’s.
Blessings,
Christopher
