Hello –
This Sunday, after the 10am service, we celebrate the end of the school year with ice cream! Come join us for this great new St. Paul’s tradition. It’s a scrumptious way to be with your St. Paul’s community. It’s been such a good year in so many ways that on this feast of Pentecost, when we celebrate the birth of the church almost two thousand years ago, it seems right and proper to enjoy ice cream together.
1. Starting Sunday, June 15h I’ll be offering Basic Discipleship following the 10am service. In this month-long class I offer teaching, guidance and encouragement in getting into a rhythm of daily prayer and in finding a way to know and tell your own unique story about your relationship with God.
2. The Ezekiel bible study on Wednesdays at 10 will continue as will John on Thursdays at 6:15. Romans on Tuesdays is on hiatus until September.
3. Teen Success Breakfast is on vacation but Young Moms Marin of Friday afternoons, our visits to San Rafael Health Care Center on Sundays, handing our bags of groceries at Ritter on weekday afternoons and visiting Sn Quentin on Thursdays and Saturdays all continue.
4. Summer is a great time for our young ones to learn about worship. If you bring your child early to worship, say about 9:30am, I and others will be available to teach them to read, usher, acolyte and set the altar. Stay tuned for more information.
5. Finally, you are invited to join the Martin family and the good people of Christ Church, Sausalito on Labor Day weekend for a delightful parish retreat at the Bishop’s Ranch, just outside of Healdsburg. Think of swimming, great meals, beautiful hikes, square dancing and wine tasting, with a little bit of prayer thrown in. Space is available for just sixteen more people. Save the date now, more information coming soon.
It looks to be a delightful summer at St. Paul’s.
