Hello –
Two weeks from the time I am writing these words, our hearts and minds will likely be consumed with the unfolding of the election. At St. Paul’s, we offer hope and prayer to help us all stay clear and centered through the coming months.
Here are three invitations:
1. Hope. This Saturday at 8:45am in Duncan Hall I will be teaching a daily practice to help us all live in hope. If you participate you can take home a card that can help you keep up the simple practice so that you can start each day with an intention to live in hope. We will then meet the next two Saturdays, same time and place, to support each other and reflect on the new practice.
2. Prayer. Kirsten and I will be leading an hour of prayer on Wednesday, November 6th at 5pm at Nativity. It will be a simple time of gentle contemplative silence followed by Compline.
3. Prayer. In January, I teach another series of classes on Transcending Contempt. This series will focus on moving from being anxious to being centered. It starts Saturday, January 4th, also at 8:45am in Duncan Hall. It alternates Saturdays of teaching with Saturdays of reflection and support.
Blessings,
Christopher
