Holy Week at St. Paul’s

Hello –

The coming week is the most important week of the church calendar. It is the time when we not only remember the mighty acts by which we were saved, we enact them.

Palm Sunday is this Sunday at 10am. It begins with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and ends with his betrayal and the stripping of our altar.

Maundy Thursday is next Thursday at 7pm at Nativity Church at 333 Ellen Drive. We will join them for Maundy Thursday and they will join us for Good Friday. We remember Jesus’ last supper.

Good Friday is at noon at St. Paul’s. It includes bringing in the cross and hammering nails into it.

Holy Saturday is at St. Paul’s at 9am. It’s a brief service without Eucharist.

Easter Morning is at 10am and incudes the baptism of June F. It will be a classic Easter morning service. (We will not be having an Easter Vigil this year.)

The deeper we go into the sadness of Palm Sunday and Good Friday, the more joyful the joy of Easter.
Blessings,

Christopher
