Hello –
Lent begins in a week. This means three things at St. Paul’s:
1. Yummy food and good music after church this Sunday. Be sure to come to Duncan Hall after worship to get into a little bit of that Mardis Gras spirit!
2. Ash Wednesday is next Wednesday, the 14th at noon and 6pm. The service includes the imposition of ashes on our foreheads with those powerful words, “remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.”
3. Only Connect. Our theme for Lent this year is Only Connect and the invitation is to intentionally connect with other people. Since COVID, so many people are more isolated. Let’s each of us make an extra effort to connect with others. Two ways to connect are within the St. Paul’s family. These are St. Paul’s Calls and Discipleship Groups. Two ways reach beyond St. Paul’s. These are Chloe’s Communities and Bring-A-Friend Sunday on March 10th. You’ll be hearing more about all four efforts in the days to come.
