Hello –
I hope you are all enjoying a restful and reflective Juneteenth!
Exciting news–we have our first date for our new young adult dinners, the Taste Community. The first Taste Community gathering will be July 12th at 6pm for young adults ages 18-mid 30s. This event is about creating a community for those who feel at home in the church, for those who have been hurt by religion, for those who have doubts, and everyone in between.
Kristen and her mother-in-law will provide a home-cooked meal with vegetarian and gluten-free options. We’ll have a couple of hours of food and fellowship, followed by Compline (night prayer) for those who want to stick around. Childcare will not be provided at the initial event, but children are welcome to play and/or sleep in our nursery space during the event. Please RSVP to Kristen at 760-445-4250.
Finally, thank you all for trying out Antecommunion with us last Sunday. As I mentioned in my last email, since I am not a priest for a few more weeks, Antecommunion allows us to worship when Rev. Lynn is not able to be with us.
Blessings to you all,
Erin
