Hello –
There are a series of conversations going on right now at St. Paul’s each of which represent the slow, good, deep progress of St. Paul’s to greater health, strength and clarity.
• The Hardin Courtyard. Thanks particularly to hard work by Larry and Pat, we are just weeks away from taking plans to the city and out to bid. Many drafts of plans and thoughtful conversations with the school are a part of the mix.
• Our 150th. All three of our weekly Bible Studies have been engaged in fruitful conversation of who we are, how essential our witness is to the health and goodness of Marin and how, with our upcoming 150th, we can better take our place in the public world of Marin.
• An MOU. We are in the process of affirming an MOU, or Memorandum of Understanding, with several other Episcopal Churches in Marin. This MOU builds on great initiatives like the Marin Episcopal Youth Group, our new Sunday at 5pm Eucharist and our shared outreach, to strengthen the impact of all of our parishes.
• The PrayWorshipServe Retreat. We will soon announce that St. Paul’s will be hosting a three day retreat in Lent of 2018 to help people from around the country follow the seven core Christian practices and create Discipleship Groups. All hands on deck!
• Stewardship. The first of several letters goes out today asking for your generous financial pledge for our common work in 2017. We are on the cusp of a new season of health and vitality and are asking for your investment in our shared future.
Let us, as St. Paul wrote, press on toward the goal of our heavenly call.
Faithfully,
Christopher
