Hello –
The major projects of the next few months can be summarized by the title Flowers and the Three “C”s
C #1 is Confirmation. On Saturday, June 10th, I will be taking a contingent of youth and adults to Grace Cathedral to be Confirmed, Received or Reaffirmed. All three are rituals led by the Bishop of grown-up affirmation of faith. Preparation is after the 10am service led by Erin and me. Please email me by April 23rd if you’s like to go to Grace Cathedral on June 10th.
Flowers means our second annual May Day Celebration of Flowers which will be on Sunday, April 30th. On that Sunday we will celebrate Mary, the mother of Jesus, and then afterwards create 185 small bouquets which we will then deliver to each resident of three local care facilities.
C #2 is Contempt. Starting on Wednesday, May 24th at 7pm I will be teaching 6 sessions on the Root Causes of Contempt and how to uproot contempt from our hearts. We’ll be learning to WAG. Wonder, Attention and Gratitude are the three practices that lead to Christian love of our neighbors, not the sin of contempt.
C #3 is Cursillo. Cursillo is a short and loving course in Christianity. Many of us at St. Paul’s have made a Cursillo weekend and quite a few of us will be helping to lead the weekends this July. The women’s weekend is July 13th-16th and the men’s is July 20th-23rd. Spaces are still available at both.
