Hello –
There are two unique opportunities for you in the next week or so at St. Paul’s.
First, this Sunday the Rev. Daniel London will be leading services at St. Paul’s. Daniel, as you may know, is the creative and passionate leader of the youth group we’ve created with other Marin Episcopal Churches, called the Marin Episcopal Youth Group. Daniel is also currently completing his Ph. D. in Spiritual Theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. What makes this Sunday unique is that, somewhat by coincidence, the Spiritual Forum is currently reading aloud and discussing Julian of Norwich’s spiritual showings, which is one of Daniel’s areas of specialty. In fact, Daniel was the one who got me deeply interested in her again. She is, for me, a great theologian of Hope. You won’t want to miss Daniel leading the Forum at 9am in Duncan Hall.
The second unique event is that our Chancel Choir, joined by friends (including perhaps the Rector and members of the Children’s Choir) will be singing the National Anthem at the San Rafael Pacifics game which starts at 7:05 on Thursday, August 18th. Come and hear our choir sing a special arrangement created by our choir director, Michael Struck, and then root, root, root for our true home team.
Blessings,
Christopher
