Hello –
Three things:
1. The phone is working again, but the new Network is not yet up and running. We will still be able to broadcast the service on Sunday with the use of hotspots, but otherwise, internet is still down at St. Paul’s.
2. Tuesday at 4pm is our first time leading the work of serving dinner at the Street Chaplaincy. Because I’m in charge just for this first one, we’ll be serving Lasagnas, garlic bread, aa simple salad and….cookies! Will you kindly consider baking a dozen or two cookies to share? ideally we’d like 12 dozen and we have tow dozen so far. You can bring the cookies Sunday if you like. We have a dozen volunteers so far but there’s room for more. To either bake cookies or volunteer please email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com.
3. Our new Sunday School, Basic Anglicanism and the latest Transcending Contempt Practice Group are all up and running. I’m pleased to announce two more learning opportunities coming up at St. Paul’s. First, on January 25th, Kati will begin weekly teaching for youth at 11:30am. Second, in Lent, starting on February 19th, Thursday evening Zoom Bible Study returns. We will be reading Matthew’s Passion Narrative from 6pm to 7pm on Thursdays through Lent.
We say at St. Paul’s that we follow Jesus together in worship, prayer and service and, whadda ya know, that’s what we’re doing!
Blessings,
Christopher
