Hello –
Tomorrow is a big day for St. Paul’s. It is both Consecration Sunday and the first time we have shared communion in pandemic. Here’s how you might experience it:
10am Sign on to Facebook Live. You can access this through our website, stpaulssanrafael.org. It may then take a little search as Facebook likes to throw up distractions, but have faith!
10:50am A time of silence, during which you are encouraged to fill out your Consecration Sunday card. (If you didn’t get one or can’t find yours, let me know and we’ll send you one next week. c.h.mrtn@gmail.com)You can fill out a number on your own on a piece of paper if you still wish to participate in the ritual of placing the card on the altar.
11:00am EITHER you make your way to St. Paul’s where you walk a safe circuit that goes through the church, then takes a right through the Vestry and then goes back through the courtyard OR we come to you to pick up your card, if you have one, and deliver communion and lunch. So far, those who are getting delivery are Felicia, Della, Judy, Eleanor, Joy, Chris O. and Richard M. Anyone else? (c.h.mrtn@gmail.com)
12:00 Rejoin Facebook Live to pray the Lord’s Prayer, take communion all at the same time and then receive a final blessing.
12:10 Optional Social Time on Zoom. Here’s the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86858743069?pwd=dGlaTWI5d0xuMVFPcHE2dloxamNrZz09
12:30 Rejoin Facebook Live for the announcement of the results and singing the Doxology (Praise God from whom all blessings flow…)
That’s it. We’ll see you tomorrow, many of you in person for the first time in pandemic! What a joy!
