Hello –
The first quarter of 2016 is unusually full at St. Paul’s. Last week I sent a series of four emails that outlined many activities under the categories of ‘”Together,” “Prayer,” “Worship,” and “Service.” These four are words from our mission statement.
This week, I send to you a simple calendar with the major events through March. This list does not include the weekly and bi-weekly events.
1/23 Training for Sunday Morning. If you usher, altar guild, acolyte, read, offer hospitality or you would like to do one of these, come to this two hour Saturday training. Youth are particularly encouraged to come. Saturday. 9am to 11am.
2/7 Annual Meeting. Sunday. 11:15am to 1pm. Lunch Included.
2/10 Ash Wednesday. Wednesday. 7:30am, Noon, 6:30pm.
2/11 and 2/12 Picture Taking for Our New Photo Directory. Go here on our website and click “Photo Directory : Sign up for Your Session” to schedule a time or just click HERE.
2/28 Open House at the Martin’s. An all generations, all community event at our home in San Anselmo. Sunday. 4pm to 6pm.
3/5 Discipleship Group Workshop. Saturday. 9am to 11am.
3/20 to 3/27 Holy Week: Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil and Easter Morning.
There’s a lot going on. But the good news is that if you make these things a priority in your life, I firmly believe that, by God’s grace, you will know the love of community and the love of God in a new and deeper way. We aren’t doing these things just to do them. We do them for love of God and neighbor, just as Jesus taught.
