A Prudent Christmas at St. Paul’s

Hello –

People in our extended St. Paul’s family are testing positive for COVID. All of the symptoms are mild so far for folks, but given that reality, and the headlines about the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, we’re pulling back on our Christmas schedule.

• The Christmas Eve service at 5pm and the Sunday morning service at 10am will return to our pre-August protocols. That means that the service will not be open to all, but will be on Youtube and Facebook Live. There will be a small crew leading worship in the church.

• We are canceling the Christmas day service at 10am, which was only going to be live, not broadcast.

• Finally, on Christmas Eve we will bless a basket of TruVine communion units, which we will then put out on the porch in front of Duncan Hall. We will then have a moment in the Sunday service when we will be invited to share bread and wine at the same time. Because of this, we will not be putting out TruVine before Christmas Eve. (Please contact me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com if you would like TruVine delivered to you before Sunday.)

We plan to continue with the pre-August protocols for worship at least through Sunday, January 2nd. We hope to still have the Epiphany pageant on Sunday the 9th, but will make a prudent decision based on the course of Omicron.

To review, there is no Christmas Day service and Christmas Eve and the next two Sundays are distance worship on YouTube and Facebook Live.

Please stay safe.

Blessings,

Christopher
