Hello –
Chloe and I leave tomorrow for Harper’s graduation from college and I continue on to pilgrimage to the holy island of Linidfarne, in England. The Rev. Lynn Oldham-Robinett and the Rev. Carol Luther will be covering the two services while I’m gone. You’re in the good hands of two people who know and love St. Paul’s. Here are a few things to know:
• First, and most important, I have sad news to report. After a brief illness, Jane Santucci died this morning. Please hold Larry and their children Paige and Jason in your prayers. I talked with Lynn and she is aware and will be attending to the family.
• Lots of thanks to Janie and Alison who led our efforts to bring 180 bouquets to residents of Aldersley, Cogir and the San Rafael Health Care Center this past Sunday. The quartet of teen girls were the perfect delivery people. And the last bunch of flowers I handed over was to our beloved Nancy Dods!
• Our new Young Adult group met for the first time on Sunday. Erin led eight other people in their late teens to early thirties for a joyful and social lunch at Arizmendi. It’s a joy to welcome each into the St. Paul’s community.
• I return on Wednesday, May 17th. The following Wednesday, the 24th I begin teaching a class on the Root Cause of Contempt on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in Duncan Hall and on Zoom. We’ll be starting off by learning to WAG- the practices of Wonder, Attention and Gratitude will lead our exploration into the depths of contempt and how to let go of this wicked sin in our own lives.
Blessings, Christopher
