Hello –
There are lots of ways to learn and grow with St. Paul’s this week.
Thursday
• Come to Book Passage with a gang of us at 7pm to hear Sr. Helen Prejean talk about her new book. She is the person Susan Sarandon played in Dead Man Walking. (Note: 6:15pm Thursday Bible Study starts up again next week with a study of the Gospel of Mark.)
Saturday
• At 8:30am begin participating in this new chapter of the spiritual life of St. Paul by learning the regular practices of The Work is Very Near You.
• At 9:30am come and help make St. Paul’s an even safer church. The Diocese requests that at least all people who have keys come and learn how to keep our children safe and everyone behaving respectfully.
Sunday
• At the 10am service the fabulous Libby kicks off our year of Sunday School by teaching the children great music with the help of her guitar.
• At 11:30am I repeat the coaching in the new practices that help us all realize that, by God’s grace, The Work is Very Near You.
• Our bi-monthly gathering of the Death Row Ministry is from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. We now are connected with 20 men, so there’s plenty of room for letter writers, pray-ers and visitors.
• The fall semester of New College of Christian Practice kicks off at 7pm. You have a choice of 4 cool classes, each taught by people representing 5 different congregations in Marin. Each is about a different facet of the mystery of Jesus. It’s $30 for all three sessions which meet every other Wednesday.
