Two More Full Weekends

Hello –

We continue our busy pace of events that confirm our identity as a good Christian community.

• This Saturday is Jack “Bless Your Bones” Beggs funeral at 2pm. It will be followed by a reception featuring the delicious food of Chef Cynthia. This will be a true community event and we expect a remarkably big crowd for the funeral of a 98 year old man!

• Sunday we celebrate the feast of All Saints’. Erin will be preaching a sermon where she invites us to honor our ancestors. If you have an object that reminds you of a beloved ancestor, please consider bringing it to church with you. This email is the final call for the Necrology, the list to be read aloud of all whom we’ve loved who have died since November 1st, 2022. Please email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com if you have any names.

• Next Saturday, the 11th, we gather at 3pm in Duncan Hall to write Christmas cards to the 21 Condemned Californians who are part of our Death Row Ministry. We gather for food, music and conviviality as we write cards. The inmates tell us this is one the highlights of the year for them. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com for details.

• Next Sunday, the 12th, we celebrate Mike Struck’s 40 years being the music director at St. Paul’s at our Sunday 10am worship. Please come, sing, and express your gratitude to Mike!

• That Sunday afternoon, at 4pm, Chloe hosts one of her regular Death Cafes in Duncan Hall. These are an opportunity to openly discuss a powerful topic while eating yummy home baked cookies.

I hope to see you these coming weekends at St. Paul’s.
Blessings, Christopherp: (415) 456-4842
