Sign Up Now for the Mary Weekend!

Hello –

Following our fun and successful Road to Emmaus weekend in Lent we are now offering a weekend experience inviting us all to explore the Mary of Scriptures. Follow this link to sing up for this free weekend.

As in the spring, we will be putting together a box that has all you need to explore the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, with your fellow parishioners at St. Paul’s. There are games, crafts, beads and other goodies in the box.

The weekend itself consists of Zoom events on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon features a Mary Open House that includes music, a scavenger hunt, an exhibit and more.

As a result of working on this project, I came to a new insight about Mary in scripture that I can’t wait to share with you on Thursday evening with the opening talk.

Please register now so we can know how many boxes to assemble. And keep bringing in those beautiful Mary objects and art for our exhibit in the Upper Room. Joan is meticulously tracking who is sharing what and we are keeping a close eye on these treasures. It’s already an amazing collection and is sure to get even better.

The weekend starts a week from this Thursday, on November 4th at 7pm. Please click on these words to sign up.

Also, four things

1. A great big thank you to all who made Consecration Sunday, even in the storm, a success. So far, our pledging is 10% higher than last year! If you haven’t yet turned in your card, please bring it in or mail it by Sunday. We’ll be sending thank yous and reminders next week rather than this week because of the storm.

2. This Sunday is Katie T’s last Sunday. Maybe there will be a lot of fun things happening! : )

3. Because of this busy set of Sundays, we will read the Necrology, the list of those who have died, later in November.

4. If you had a birthday or anniversary in October, please let me know so we can say a prayer for you this Sunday. I’m at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com.

Blessings,
