Hello –
This Sunday, September 20th, Courtyard Worship will be at 8:30am. Further, this Sunday is the test of viability. If 12 or more of us are there to worship, we will continue with Courtyard Worship at 8:30am on Sundays. If not, we will look to start it again in the spring. Distance worship from the church will be live at 10am as usual.
The next Sunday, September 27th, we will all be worshipping at 11am through Grace Cathedral. Our Presiding Bishop, the Most Reverend Michael Curry, will be the preacher and our own Bishop Marc has told us that he has a special message for our Diocese.
So, this Sunday I hope to worship with you at either 8:30am in the Courtyard or at 10am through our website or Facebook Live. The next Sunday, I hope to join you in worshipping at 11am through Grace Cathedral. I’ll send you the link and more information next week. Whether there is also Courtyard Worship next week depends on if enough people vote with their bodies to keep it going.
I continue to hold each of you in my prayers in these disorienting times. I am so grateful now to be able to breathe again and take long walks outside.
Finally, please know that our beloved Wanda Rice died last week after living at home for three weeks in hospice care. Plans are under way for a funeral in October. May she rest in life eternal.
