Hello –
It’s going to be a busy nine days at St. Paul’s before things settle down for Lent.
Worship. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday with services at noon, which will be live streamed, and 6pm. Next Sunday, the 22nd, is Erin’s last Sunday. We are preparing a gift for her before she leaves on her indefinite Medical Leave of Absence. Email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com if you would like to find out more and perhaps participate.
Prayer. There are five things you might do in Lent as a spiritual practice. These are to join the Thursday 6pm Zoom Bible Study, the 9am Sunday Perelandra reading group, the 11:30am Sunday How To Read the Bible, or you might pray the prayer list or join Joan and give up chocolate! Again, reach out to me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com to find out more.
Service. The Joy of Serving campaign concludes next Saturday. In the meantime, please share the brochure with your friends and plan to come to one of the two 90 minute Open Houses. One is Friday the 20th at 5:30pm and and the other is Saturday the 21st at 10:00am. We’re already getting good responses from the public to our postcard and to our mailing the brochure. People are hungry to serve!
There are then no additional planned activities in Lent. Only faithfully, quietly and steadily following Jesus.
At St. Paul’s, we follow Jesus together in worship, prayer and service.
Blessings,
Christopher
