Saturday, Angels; Sunday, Our Bishop

Hello –

This is a big weekend at St. Paul’s.

On Saturday, I begin leading my next Practice Group, Angels- Your Translators of Love. We’re going to be retrieving ancient Christian practices to help us listen to the angels of our souls. Listening to our angels helps us set love in order in us and so love God and neighbor in the way Jesus teaches. Come to Duncan Hall at 8:45am. The class goes until 10am and is eight Saturday sessions.

On Sunday we welcome our new Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Austin Rios, for the first time. Bishop Rios expresses a real love of Jesus and has been putting his heart and soul into the important work of building trust among Episcopalians of the Bay Area. Come on Sunday to our 10am worship and stay after for a terrific coffee hour to meet our new leader.

On a final note, on Saturday, September 20th at 10:30am, we’re going to be having an all-hands-on-deck review and training for our Sunday morning liturgy. If you’ve been curious to try ushering, reading, acolyting, singing or participating in the altar guild, please email me at c.h.mrtn@gmail.com. Liturgy means “work of the people,” and at St. Paul’s we take that seriously. Liturgy means all of us together!

Blessings,
Christopher
