Hello –
Hello, St. Paul’s extended family!
It’s good to be back. I had a rich and wonderful time away. It was deeply refreshing, Chloe and I had the opportunity to spend lots of time with family and friends and it was even productive. I wrote an essay synthesizing my thoughts and beliefs about angels.
My first day back was yesterday and I had good, long check-ins with Erin and Tanner. A million “thank-yous” to both leaders and to so many of you for keeping things going in such a great way in my absence. I’m not in the least surprised things went well!
Three things in the next week.
1. Saturday is the funeral of Nancy Dods at 11am. Walter and Nancy were core leaders of St. Paul’s for decades. Walter died ten years ago and Nancy developed dementia and has been in memory care. But if you remember Walter and Nancy I encourage you to come. They were good Christian people.
2. From Kati: Dear Families,
This Sunday is Family Potluck happy hour!
It’s summer, though, so for those of you getting this email who are NOT the younger families, we’d love your participation as well!
Here is the link!
With so much gratitude, Kati
3. Wednesday Bible study resumes next week. Before beginning to read Paul’s letter to the Romans we’ll be reviewing our nine part story. Abraham is part one, Jesus and Paul are part five and we, now, are part nine. Come on Wednesday at 10am and learn to tell and live out our story in a deep and meaningful way.
Blessings,
Christopher
