I just received this helpful email from my good colleague from St. Francis’, Novato. She provides excellent ways to help. Please notice that you can bring needed supplies to St. Francis today and tomorrow through 5pm.
Here’s her message:
Dear Friends in Christ,
The fires in Napa and Sonoma have devastated communities and displaced many. Last night at the Civic Center shelter I listened to the stories of evacuees and prayed with families, young and old, as they were settling into unfamiliar surroundings with hosts of people and a few pets.
Some of the shelters in Marin are no longer accepting donations, however, if you are looking for a way to give the shelters in Sebastopol need the following items:
St. Francis Episcopal Church will be accepting donations today and tomorrow through 5 pm. Please leave donations on the front porch of the Vicarage. Donations will be transported to Sebastopol on Wednesday evening.
If you would like to make a financial donation please consider giving to the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California Bishop’s discretionary fund:http://www.norcalepiscopal.org/online-giving
Please keep our neighbors to the north in your prayers, as well as the first responders.
Love and blessings, Vanessa
Thank you, Vanessa.
