Hello –
It was such a joy to see so many of you through the course of Holy Week. It was a time filled with great emotions.
Many made the week special and excellent but I want to particularly thank Mike for his music, Judy for her hard work and good taste, Alex for the same and Pierce and Diana for an extraordinarily sumptuous feast after the 10am service.
Through the course of the great four services I preached a series of sermons on the theme of ‘Body and Soul.’ It was a powerful theme for me and in many ways I feel I just scratched the surface. I draw your attention to them again because I find that they hit themes that are very important for us as a community that are very likely to appear again and again in the coming months and years. In particular, my Easter morning sermon, with its exploration of faith, hope and love in the light of the Resurrection, feels central. They can all be found on the front page of our website.
By coincidence, as I pulled into the parking lot on Easter morning, the song ‘Body and Soul,’ played by John Coltrane, came on the radio. It was an encouraging sign!
